About You:
- You are a hobby artist or a professional.
- 20+ years old.
- Looking for a flexible schedule that includes hosting paint parties 1-2 times a week.
- You are a social butterfly that creates a sense of community, fostering a joyful and welcoming atmosphere.
- A true artist at heart with the ability to create captivating works of art who loves talking all things art and helping people with painting techniques.
- A master multitasker who can keep the energy high and the paint flowing smoothly throughout the event.
- A natural-born entertainer who is comfortable being in the spotlight entertaining with ease, ensuring each guest receives excellent instruction, along with a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
- You are a reliable person with a high level of responsibility.
What we expect from You:
- Experience in art education is not required, but definitely a plus. Self-taught is okay.
- Artist / Art Instructor is responsible for teaching the classes step-by-step in a fun and exciting way either at public or private event locations. Event commitment is 4-5 hours.
- Must be able to create and recreate paintings to be taught in classes, used for company portfolio and promotional items. Always acrylic paintings – no exceptions.
- Social media experience required. Must be knowledgeable of Facebook, Instagram, Reels and TikTok.
- Reliable vehicle that can transport supplies is necessary.
- Availability in the evenings is required. Availability on weekends is a huge plus.
- Punctuality is a must! We start on time, and that doesn’t work without the artist.
- Dependable work ethics, but you should still know how to have fun.
- English required.
The scope of work will include but is not limited to:
- Monthly acrylic painting submissions.
- Picking up supplies.
- Setting up classes and breaking down the classes. An assistant will be provided with groups of 20 people or more.
- Teaching a step-by-step painting class on 16” x 20” canvas through the use of different colored paints and 3-4 different brushes within a 2-3 hour timeline.
- Creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere throughout the class.
- Making sure to always end the painting on time.
Deal Breakers:
- If you bring your drama to work (we are allergic to drama).
- If you are chronically late or otherwise unreliable (we’re not just looking for an artist, we are looking for a family).
NOTE* This is a contracted position. You will be self-employed, not an employee.
Pay is based on a group size per event you instruct. The larger the group, the more compensation. The average time at each event is 4-5 hours.
